“Here comes the one you won't forget”: A Cuban's announcement takes social media by storm

The man uses a theme by Charly and Johayron, but "the love of your life" knocking at the door is not who you think.

A bread vendor in Havana has become a sensation on social media thanks to his unique cry: “And here comes the one you won't forget. Open the door because the love of your life is knocking: it’s the bread!”

The video was shared by Cuban content creator Jhonan Romeu Lores (@romeo_lamaravilla_), who wanted to highlight the work of this self-employed individual who walks the streets selling one-pound bread for 200 pesos, working hard and with joy to make a living.

"The power of social media," Romeu wrote while sharing the video, which has already exceeded 500,000 views across TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram in just a few days.

The charismatic seller, hailing from Coco Solo in the Marianao municipality of Havana, has gained popularity among users for his energy and creativity in promoting his product.

Several fans have even shared their own videos imitating his style and chant, which is inspired by a song by the Cuban reggaeton artists Charly and Johayron.

The phenomenon once again demonstrates how social media can become a powerful tool to highlight real stories of effort and optimism amid the harsh reality faced by the Cuban people.
