The influencer Frank Jr. Muñoz, known on social media as @frankjrmunoz, sparked a lively debate among internet users after posting a video in which he questions why Cubans seem to have become the "resellers" of TikTok.
"Can someone explain to me why we are the sellers on TikTok? Why are Cubans the resellers of TikTok? We have become the online flea market," stated the Cuban creator residing in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) in the United States.
The video, shared on their official account, humorously reflects a reality that many users recognized: the rise of sales content, exchanges, and promotions within the Cuban community on the platform.
"There's no one who can escape a live stream selling perfumes, shoes, or anything else," commented one of his followers.
Muñoz explained that after consuming content from various countries, he noticed that Cubans stand out for their creativity and perseverance when it comes to "meroliquear" on social media.
“At some point, I will achieve it, I am going to become the face of TikTok Cuba,” the influencer stated, affirming that his goal is to represent Cubans on the platform “with humor, wit, and authenticity.”
The video has amassed thousands of views and sparked a wave of reactions, ranging from laughter and criticism to a defense of Cuban pride.
