Cuban content creator Yexela González (@yexelagonzlez) starred in a video on her social media where she elegantly and emphatically responds to a xenophobic comment criticizing the arrival of immigrants in Spain.
While reviewing questions from her followers, González came across a message that read: "They are bringing all this crap to Spain with this uncontrolled immigration." Instead of responding with insults, the Cuban mother offered a reflection that quickly earned the applause of hundreds of users.
"Along with all that, you are also receiving highly qualified individuals. You are getting teachers, doctors who want to validate their degrees, lawyers, engineers. Additionally, you are receiving parents with children who will grow up in this country and in the future will be members of Spanish society," he expressed.
Yexela added that emigration is often part of a natural cycle.
"We wouldn't be here if at some point a Spaniard hadn't come to our land. Life consists of cycles that repeat over and over again. Many Spaniards have not found their place in Spain and have decided to emigrate to other nations. How would you like them to be treated?"
The Cuban concluded her message with an encouraging call to all immigrants around the world: “May nothing make you falter in your pursuit of a better future.”
