Mexican content creator Manuel Arcila (@manuelarcila20) ignited social media with a controversial video directed at Cubans who comment on politics in Mexico. In his message, Arcila urged Cubans to focus on "liberating their own country" before criticizing others.

"They are cowardly, timid, and also meddlesome. Now it turns out that Cubans are very concerned about Mexico's freedom, supposedly because communism has reached us. Look, do something for the freedom of your country; if it bothers you so much that Castro and his family are in power, fight there and don’t come here. First, fight for your country's freedom and then come to give advice," he expressed irritably.

The video has sparked significant controversy among Mexican and Cuban users, particularly on TikTok, where many Caribbean migrants defended their right to express their opinions after having fled the repression of the Cuban regime.

Since 2021, with the increase of the migration crisis in Cuba, thousands of Cubans have settled in Mexico after being unable to enter the United States due to the new policies of the Trump administration.

Now these thousands of Cuban immigrants are looking to rebuild their lives in Mexican territory. For the most part, they have been welcomed warmly by the government and the people of Mexico, but there are those who have a different idea of what Cubans should do instead of leaving their country.
