The US dollar remains today, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 490 Cuban pesos (CUP) in the informal market, according to the daily monitoring by elTOQUE.

The US dollar reached this value on Friday, following several days of rising prices. It is the most in-demand currency in the country and is used as the main reference for the prices of goods and services, amidst inflation that continues to impact the purchasing power of Cubans.

The euro is trading this Saturday at 540 CUP, solidifying its position as the strongest currency in circulation within the parallel market. Although it is less commonly used in everyday transactions, its value reflects the ongoing depreciation of the Cuban peso against major international currencies.

For its part, the MLC (Freely Convertible Currency) remains at 200 CUP, reflecting the loss of confidence in an economy suffocated by inflation and shortages. The sustained rise in prices continues to hit daily life in Cuba hard.
