The Cuban activist Amelia Calzadilla announced the organization of two days in Madrid for collecting essential items intended to assist Cubans affected by Hurricane Melissa, which recently struck the eastern part of the country.

The initiative will take place this weekend , located at Calle Matilde Landa 26, local Bajo A, in the Spanish capital.

Pickup times:

Saturday: from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday: from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This is a call to the Cuban community abroad and to supportive Madrilenians to contribute essential goods—such as non-perishable food, hygiene products, clothing, and medications—that will be sent to the areas most affected by the weather phenomenon.
