The Cuban reggaeton artists Charly & Johayron joined the solidarity efforts to support families affected by Hurricane Melissa in eastern Cuba.
Through their social media, they shared images of the donation delivery at evacuation centers, where dozens of people are still staying who have not been able to return to their homes after the devastation caused by the weather phenomenon.
“Being one of us is not something you say, it’s something you feel,” they wrote in the post, accompanied by a message of support for the victims and words of gratitude to those who contributed to the initiative. “It’s the least we can do,” the artists expressed.
The aid included food, clothing, and essential items that reached these individuals thanks to the collaboration of three young people to whom the singers expressed their gratitude. The images show children and adults receiving the supplies.
The actions of Charly & Johayron were widely praised on social media, where thousands of users highlighted the duo's gesture towards the affected individuals.
