The gesture of two brothers in the United States has touched thousands of users on social media, after it was revealed that they decided to donate their toys and clothing for children in Cuba who lost everything after Hurricane Melissa.

The mother of the little ones, Loreidys Guzmán, showed in a video posted on TikTok how her children reacted to seeing images of the devastation left by the cyclone on the island.

In the clip, the woman explains that she wanted to show them what is happening in Cuba, where dozens of families have been left homeless and many children have lost their belongings due to the disaster.

Upon understanding the situation, the two children—clearly moved—began to fill a box with their favorite toys and gently used clothing, intending to send them to the affected youngsters. “They wanted to help without me asking them to. It came from their hearts,” the mother shared in her post.

The video has gone viral on TikTok, where hundreds of users have praised the noble gesture and highlighted the empathy of the children. “That’s what we need to teach our children: to be supportive and to put themselves in others' shoes,” commented one user.

Hurricane Melissa caused severe damage in several provinces of Cuba, with destroyed homes, flooding, and thousands of families still awaiting assistance from the regime. Amid the crisis and the lack of resources, gestures like those of these children have become symbols of humanity and hope.
