Cubana shares her odyssey to make a broth in Cuba: "It's a NASA-level task."

Greisy Granados narrates on TikTok her challenge of cooking in Cuba, showcasing the high costs and scarcity of ingredients, along with electrical issues, reflecting the everyday reality of life in Cuba.

Cuban content creator Greisy Granados (@greisygranados7) shared a video on TikTok that humorously and resignedly reflects the harsh reality many Cubans face when trying to prepare a simple meal on the island.

In the video, Granados narrates the odyssey of preparing a broth, from the walk under the sun to gather the ingredients to the high cost of each product.

The young woman demonstrated how she had to visit several places to find malanga, sweet potato, pumpkin, meat, ají cachucha, onion, and garlic, paying exorbitant prices that consumed almost half of her salary.

"When I got home, I had lost the desire to make the broth, but since I had already spent half my salary, I went ahead and made it," she confessed with a laugh and a sense of exhaustion.

The situation worsened when, in the midst of cooking, the power went out, forcing her to move the pot to a gas burner until the electricity was restored. Finally, she managed to finish her broth, a symbol of the daily struggle of thousands of Cubans to feed themselves.

The video, which has amassed thousands of views, has sparked empathy and debate among users who see the harsh economic and energy reality of Cuba reflected in its story.
