The Cuban content creator Rosy, known on social media as @rossy_guajira_natural, shared a sweet and revealing video in which she shows how she prepared a simple homemade fried chicken recipe for her children.

The children's reaction was immediate and filled with wonder: “Is that palate food, mom?” they asked excitedly, thinking that it was something from a restaurant.

Rosy explained that in the current situation of the country, preparing a dish different from the usual is a luxury, something that can only be done from time to time, and although it seems like a trivial detail, it surprises the children.

“In Cuba, having a lunch option that isn’t picadillo or sausages is currently a luxury,” commented the influencer, reflecting the harsh food reality that most families on the island face.

The recipe shared is simple yet flavorful. She used a chicken breast cut into strips. She seasoned the meat with garlic and vinegar, let it drain, then dipped it in beaten egg and breadcrumbs, and finally fried it in hot oil until it achieved a perfect golden color.

The result was a crispy, delicious, homemade dish that, beyond its flavor, brought a small moment of joy and surprise to their home amidst the daily scarcity.
