A million-dollar robbery shook the early morning of November 20 in the neighborhood Nuevo Vista Alegre, in Santiago de Cuba, when several criminals broke into the home of Isabel Belén, a well-known clothing seller on the busy Enramadas street, to steal a large amount of money and valuable belongings.

According to family members of the victim, the thieves entered through a window and managed to steal 400,700 Cuban pesos, 2,000 euros in cash, several fans, a flat-screen television, a car battery, two propane gas tanks, and an electric scooter, reported local journalist Yosmany Mayeta on Facebook.

Due to the position of the vehicle in the parking lot, it is presumed that several people were involved, as they would have needed to lift the motorbike to remove it from the location.

The police were notified of the incident, and according to sources close to the case, there is already a suspect under investigation.

The family stated that their only goal is to recover the stolen goods and to see those responsible brought to justice.

It has been a devastating blow. Isabel relies on her daily work, and everything she lost represents the effort of many years. commented a relative who requested to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals.

The authorities have not yet provided an official statement, but residents in the area have expressed concern over the rise in thefts and assaults in recent months.

If this happens in a house as secure as Isabel's, no one is safe in the neighborhoods, said a local resident to Mayeta.

Anyone with concrete information about the theft can contact the victim at the number +53 53630122. The family is offering a reward for verifiable information that contributes to the recovery of the belongings and the identification of the perpetrators of the theft.

This new case reflects the growing insecurity in Cuba, where thefts of homes, businesses, and private enterprises have become increasingly frequent amid the severe economic crisis, shortages, and the lack of effective police response.
