The Cuban Gustavo Trujillo once again showcased his devastating power in the bare-knuckle boxing ring, defeating former world champion Lucas Browne by knockout, thus retaining his BKB heavyweight champion title.

The decisive victory took place at the BKB 48 event: Night of Four Kings, held on November 22 in South Florida.

The journalist Eduardo Martell, known as “El Vikingo,” celebrated on social media the latest triumph of the so-called “Cuban Assassin”: “Knockout by the Cuban Gustavo Trujillo in Bare Knuckle! (…) still the world champion,” he posted on Facebook.

Trujillo crushes Browne in just 106 seconds

Since the beginning of the fight, Trujillo, who challenged in the past the illustrious Yoel Romero, came out determined to impose his power. He knocked Browne down twice and forced the referee to stop the fight just 106 seconds after the first bell. With this result, the Cuban fighter extended his impressive undefeated record to 8-0, with eight knockouts in the first round.

The former Australian champion Lucas Browne had successfully debuted in bare-knuckle boxing two months earlier, but he was completely overwhelmed by the aggression and precision of the Cuban. International media outlets like talkSPORT emphasized that Browne was "smashed" in the opening round and that Trujillo continues to establish himself as one of the most feared fighters on the circuit.

"The Mike Tyson of bare-knuckle"

The absolute dominance of the Cuban has led some sectors of the specialized press to compare him to Mike Tyson, due to his ability to end fights decisively and in a very short time.

Despite those comparisons, Trujillo assures that he is not out looking for the knockout. "I go into my fights just trying to win. I don't know if this will end in the first round or not. This is something that happens naturally; it’s never planned. I just want to win by any means necessary," he explained to talkSPORT.com before the fight.

A reign that strengthens

The victory over Browne not only keeps Gustavo Trujillo as the BKB heavyweight champion, but also reinforces his status as one of the most intimidating names in bare-knuckle boxing, a sport where power and endurance are everything.

His perfect record and ability to finish fights in seconds mark him as one of the most striking —and dangerous— figures in the international circuit.
