In an aggressive message shared on Truth Social during the Thanksgiving holiday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced a series of drastic measures regarding immigration that outline the most extreme profile of his policy to date.

Among the most controversial proposals is the mass deportation of foreigners deemed "a public burden" or "incompatible with Western civilization."

The post, which quickly became a trend, has been interpreted as an ideological escalation with profound implications for millions of migrants, including those who already have legal residency in the country.

Towards a "selective" migration and exclusion as a principle

Trump left no room for ambiguity in his statement. He declared that he will “permanently suspend migration from all Third World countries”, with the aim, as he stated, of allowing the American system to “fully recover.”

The leader harshly criticized the Biden administration, accusing it of allowing the mass entry of foreigners through what he described as illegal means

"I will eliminate the millions of illegal admissions by Biden, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden's Autopen."

But he went further. He promised a systematic purge of the immigrant population in the United States, starting with those who do not meet his standard of “net asset for the country.”

"I will expel anyone who is not a net asset to the United States or who is incapable of loving our country."

The statement that has raised the most alarms, however, was the following:

"I will deport any foreigner who is a public charge, a risk to security, or incompatible with Western civilization."

Deportations, denaturalizations, and withdrawal of social benefits

The new immigration plan by Trump includes the complete elimination of benefits and federal subsidies for non-citizens, as well as the denaturalization of migrants who, in the president's opinion, threaten the internal stability of the country.

"I will eliminate all federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens of our country; I will denaturalize migrants who undermine national tranquility."

These policies, he asserts, will aim for a "significant reduction of illegal and disruptive populations," a concept that he did not precisely define but which refers to an unprecedented structural exclusion approach in the recent history of the country.

“Only the INVERSE MIGRATION can fully remedy this situation,” he stated.

Criminality, racism, and the use of fear as a political catalyst

Trump's narrative relies on a fear-based discourse that links migration with crime, social disorder, and cultural decay.

As an example, he cited the recent murder of a National Guard soldier at the hands of an Afghan citizen who entered the country during the military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"This is part of the horrendous airlift from Afghanistan. Hundreds of thousands of people arrived in our country without any kind of control or verification."

The tragedy, although isolated, was used to illustrate what the president presents as a systemic threat.

"We will resolve it, but we will never forget what the corrupt Joe Biden and his thugs did to our country."

Cubans, Venezuelans, and the USCIS "blacklist"

The government has also begun reviewing all residencies granted to citizens from 19 countries deemed of "concern," including Cuba and Venezuela.

The director of the Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Joseph B. Edlow, confirmed that this is a comprehensive audit that will affect applications for asylum, humanitarian parole, and family reunification.

The consequences may include administrative delays, visa cancellations, and even the revocation of previously approved green cards.

In parallel, the Department of Homeland Security is reviewing asylum grants issued during previous administrations, prioritizing cases originating from countries deemed "sensitive" in terms of security.

Migration as a scapegoat: "Failed schools, crime, and deficit"

In another post, Trump directly identified immigration as the main cause of the social ills plaguing the country:

"This influx of refugees is the main cause of social dysfunction in the United States: failing schools, high crime rates, urban decay, overcrowded hospitals, housing shortages, and significant deficits."

According to him, the system financially rewards migrants over citizens: "A migrant earning $30,000 with a residency card will receive approximately $50,000 in annual benefits for their family."

Conclusion: "Western civilization" as an ideological frontier

Beyond the technical content of the measures, Trump's message draws an ideological divide that positions "Western civilization" as a criterion for belonging and exclusion. Under this logic, it is not enough to respect the law; one must culturally conform and be "productive" according to standards unilaterally established by political power.

The shift towards a "zero migration" policy for Third World countries, the denaturalization as a coercive tool, and deportation as a cultural punishment are reshaping the migratory landscape of the United States in draconian terms.

While civil rights organizations denounce a regression towards extreme nativism, thousands of migrants, including Cubans, Venezuelans, and Haitians, face a future of uncertainty, exclusion, and possible expulsion, even after having received legal protection under processes recognized by U.S. law.

As Trump summarized it, in a warning-laden phrase:

"Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, except for those who hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that the United States represents! You won't be here for long!"
