A video circulating on social media shows the moment when two young men commit a robbery inside a barbershop in Santa Clara, using a distraction maneuver to steal a fan from the establishment without being immediately detected.

"It was a matter of seconds. While one was talking and asking for permission to show the bottles, the other was already stealing. This is happening often," commented one of the affected barbers.

The video has triggered a wave of outrage among users, who denounce the increase in in private establishments and individual businesses.

During the last few months, merchants and entrepreneurs from Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and other provinces have raised concerns about a rise in thefts, vandalism, and assaults on private businesses, exacerbated by the economic crisis and a lack of police control in peripheral areas.
