The Cuban singer La Diosa raised her voice this weekend to demand justice for the political prisoner Yosvany Rosell García, who has been on a hunger strike for 39 days and whose life is in serious danger due to health complications, including kidney damage.

In a video shared on her social media, the artist expressed her support for the prisoner and condemned the Cuban regime for keeping people incarcerated for having different thoughts.

"Today I want to raise my voice for Yosvany Rosell García, a Cuban political prisoner who has been on a hunger strike for 39 days. The only crime he committed was to speak, to think differently, to denounce the dictatorship, and to demand freedom, something that should be a right, not a sentence."

"Yosvany is already showing signs of kidney damage, his life is in danger, and this is no longer about politics, but about humanity," said La Diosa, visibly moved.

The singer also sent a direct message to the Cuban regime, which she accused of oppressing the people for decades.

"I want to leave a message for the dictatorship: you have been crushing the people for decades, you think you can still intimidate everyone, but you no longer fool anyone. The misery, fear, and pain that you have sown follow you wherever you try to hide," he stated.

The case of Yosvany Rosell García, imprisoned in Kilo 8 prison in Camagüey, has raised increasing alarm among activists and human rights organizations, who are denouncing the deterioration of his health and the lack of adequate medical attention.

According to CiberCuba, the opposition leader began his hunger strike to demand his release and to denounce the inhumane conditions of the Cuban prison system.

La Diosa, one of the most popular Cuban artists and outspoken critics of the government, reiterated her solidarity with all political prisoners on the island and urged the international community not to remain silent in the face of repression.

"As an artist and as a human being, my support is for him and his family, for everyone who today is suffering in body what should be paid for with justice," he concluded.
