The Cuban publicist Vladimir Gómez, known for his participation in the Dominican reality show La Casa de Alofoke, has sparked great controversy after declaring in an interview that he "is no longer gay." The revelation, made during a conversation with journalist Tony Dandrades, ignited debate on social media, where thousands of users and entertainment figures reacted to his words.

During the talk, published on the communicator's YouTube channel, Gómez explained that his change occurred as a result of an experience he had within the program. He recounted that a close encounter with the Panamanian influencer Gracie Bon made him reconsider his sexual orientation. “The first thing I did was give her a slap on the butt,” he said with laughter, assuring that from that moment on he felt “a different connection.”

“Her rise has captivated the world, not even JLo compares. I fell in love with that woman,” the Cuban added, visibly excited.

Gómez recounted that what began as a simple interaction ended up being, for him, a spiritual experience. He explained that he has a deep respect for the Bible, the book that his grandmother considered sacred, and that his personal transformation is connected to a period of faith, introspection, and inner growth.

However, his statements did not go unnoticed. On social media, his story divided opinions: while some applauded his honesty, others criticized his claim, arguing that sexual orientation cannot be "changed." Among those who reacted was Cuban content creator Gino Montalvo, who recorded a video expressing his disagreement with humor and frankness. "Gays have values too. Vladimir, you can't just change like that overnight. How? You might like a woman, you might want to be with a woman, but come on, how can you say you’re heterosexual?" he commented.

Another person who joined the conversation was the singer Eduardo Antonio, known as El Divo de Placetas, who met with Gómez to discuss the issue. According to reports, the meeting was cordial, though nuanced. “I have been with women—Eduardo said—but I have always liked men. All my female partners knew perfectly well that I was attracted to men,” the artist explained, clearly stating his position on the controversy.
