A family in Holguín has requested public assistance to recover a lost bag that contained "very important" documents.

According to reported by the internet user Anyc Aballe, among the belongings were a passport, a residency in Mexico, and unique family photos, “the memory of a lifetime.”

According to the publication, the bag was lost on Monday of this week, and the family is asking for the information to be shared "among friends and other groups" to increase the chances of finding who has it.

"For the person who finds it and returns it, we will offer a reward," he wrote.

The person who made the call stated that the bag was with her sister, who received “a ride” from the Maceo crossing from a “very kind” man who helped her, but later the bag was forgotten or may have fallen during the journey.

The text describes the man as someone who claimed to be from Vista Alegre and who was traveling on a red scooter.

The family believes it is possible that the bag was left in the vehicle or that it got lost along the way.

The publication also offers a reward to anyone who finds it and returns it, and it includes a contact number to coordinate the return: +53 5 1144395.

In Cuba, it is common to offer rewards for lost objects or information about crimes due to the lack of effective response from the authorities.

Rewards have been offered for pets, important documents, and for information about thefts.

For example, in Guantánamo, 100,000 pesos were offered for information about a robbery, and in Havana, 200 dollars for information about a thief caught on camera.
