Three days after the fire that destroyed a home in the La Hata neighborhood of Guanabacoa, new details about the incident have emerged.

The content creator Yarelys Herrera Díaz (@yarelys_hd), who was the first to share the images of the incident, published a new video where she clarified that the fire was not accidental, as initially believed.

"This second part of the video was made to sincerely thank all the people who showed concern after that first video of the fire," explained the Cuban influencer on her Instagram account, where the case had gone viral.

After the initial publication, many people offered to help those affected, but it later emerged that the story was different from what was originally believed.

"The truth is that it was Danielón himself who set his house on fire with a bottle of gasoline. Then he went and turned himself in to the police," Yarelys stated.

The fire, which occurred after more than twelve hours of blackout in the neighborhood, destroyed Danielón's home and also affected the adjoining house, belonging to a sick neighbor named Ernesto, who lives in precarious conditions.

"The fire damaged his house and some of his appliances and furniture. Ernesto himself, trying to save his belongings, ended up with injuries," the influencer explained, adding that the affected individual is a sick man, "a person who has undergone a tracheostomy, which makes it difficult for him to speak."

Herrera clarified that the images shared in his new video were recorded with Ernesto's permission. "If anyone wants to support or help in any way they can, I am here. I would be happy to act as a bridge to ensure that help reaches those in need," he stated.

The creator also mentioned that since the fire, she has not heard any more news about Danielón, who remains in custody.

The incident left two people in very different situations: one under judicial proceedings and the other trying to recover the little that remained after the fire, where their life was even put at risk.

Meanwhile, the residents of La Hata remain shocked by an incident that began as a domestic tragedy and ended up revealing a deeper social drama, marked by poverty, power outages, and daily despair.
