The popular comedian from Guantanamo Miguel Moreno, known as “La Llave” for his iconic character as an inspector in the television show Deja que yo te cuente, once again captivated the audience on social media with his monologue “Strange remedies, unnecessary jobs, and remote work.”

The presentation recently took place on the program “La risa por delante”, hosted by Osvaldo Doimeadiós and held in Havana, with a live audience. La Llave reflected on various professions in Cuba, and a video clip has gone viral.

The comedian proposed to “redefine” the profession of homemaker in Cuba, highlighting the immense burden faced by women who support their households under adverse conditions.

“Currently, a Cuban housewife has to master a number of elements of reality, of everyday life, that cannot be treated as someone simple,” said Moreno, eliciting laughter and applause from the audience.

"That lady, to manage her chores, needs to know which electrical block she's connected to, what the connectivity is, how many megawatts are available, whether there's running water that day, how much money she has to buy food, and what food she can buy that won't spoil in two days, the state of the New York stock exchange, and even how much someone spent to exchange for dollars today," she added, bursting into laughter.

The monologue is more than a humorous sketch; it serves as an x-ray of the energy, economic, and domestic crisis that millions of Cubans are experiencing.

Through satire, La Llave managed to bring to the forefront a topic that is rarely addressed, namely the exhaustion and burden faced by Cuban women in the face of blackouts, scarcity, and inflation.

The excerpt has circulated widely on platforms like Facebook, where users have praised the comedian for "saying what many think" and for his ability to transform everyday pain into intelligent humor and social critique.
