The Cuban reggaeton artist Ja Rulay decided to put an end to his issues with power outages and proudly announced on his social media the installation of solar panels at his home. “The times of trouble are over, we’re now working with the best solar panel installation company,” said the artist in an Instagram story, where he showed the rooftop covered with the new structures.

“Now I'm going to show you the panels I installed on the roof. Thanks to this company that made it possible to fulfill my dream: I will no longer struggle with electricity or power outages or anything like that,” he stated, making it clear that his decision was not merely a luxury but a practical solution to the critical energy situation in Cuba.

The images, shared by several entertainment pages, went viral in a matter of hours and sparked all kinds of comments. “The best of the best, find a solution to the problem, blessings,” wrote a follower. Another praised the gesture: “Those who can, can. Everyone who can do it, blessings.”

But, as often happens, not everyone viewed it positively. Some criticized that such news is a reason for celebration: "Imagine living in a country where having electricity is a privilege," one user commented. Another was more sarcastic: "Dude, if you have money, obviously you buy it."

Amidst compliments, sarcasm, and reproaches, the video made one thing clear: in a country where electricity is almost a luxury, having your own energy has become a symbol of success and, for many, also a source of controversy.
