The United States dollar is quoted on this December 25, 2025, at 435 Cuban pesos (CUP), according to the independent observatory elToque. Its price decreased by five pesos on this Christmas day.

The US dollar maintains its position as the most sought-after currency on the island, driven by the lack of cash liquidity and the deterioration of the Cuban peso's value. However, there is another currency that is gaining strength.

The euro remains at 480 CUP. Its stability makes it an appealing option for those looking to protect their savings.

Meanwhile, the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), used in state-owned stores, experienced a surprising increase of 30 pesos. It is currently traded at 380 CUP.
