The U.S. dollar opened this December 26 at 435 Cuban pesos (CUP) in the informal market, according to the rate published by elTOQUE.

The US dollar maintains a stable price in recent days. It remains at a high value, driven by a shortage of bills and high demand among the population.

The euro is trading at 480 CUP, establishing itself as the strongest currency in the parallel market. Its value remains above the dollar and reflects the increase in private operations and transactions that use the European currency as a benchmark for stability.

The surprise of this day is imposed by the MLC (Freely Convertible Currency), which sets a record. Its value rises to 410 CUP, representing 30 pesos more than the previous day. It still lags slightly behind the dollar and the euro.
