Cuban regime officials claimed that the "super concert" of Charly & Johayron in Havana raised 1,235,970 CUP, and that the funds were deposited into the "central account" for the victims of Hurricane Melissa in the eastern provinces.

The post, which presents the data as an achievement of the Planet Records project, immediately sparked a wave of skeptical comments questioning whether those funds will truly reach those who lost their homes and belongings.

The concert took place on December 20 at Club 500 – Palmares in Havana, and it was promoted as a "massive" event featuring "other guests."

The message states that the amount raised has been deposited into the account intended to support those affected by Melissa.

The former spy and CDR coordinator Gerardo Hernández Nordelo boasted about the fundraising and wrote: "The merchants of hate against Cuba will continue to express their venom, but the funds raised at the concert have already been delivered."

In the comments, several users expressed doubts about the announcement and questioned the transparency of the alleged donation.

Some called it "the meme of the day," while others sarcastically remarked, "not even you believe that."

"This is a meme, they can't collect the garbage from the streets and they're going to dedicate that money to the people, hahaha... they give a pound of rice and keep the rest." commented internet users.

Criticism also emerged regarding the ability of institutions to solve basic problems, such as garbage collection or road repairs, along with messages that hinted the money would not end up in the hands of the affected population.

At the end of October, Charly and Johayron joined relief efforts for families affected by Melissa and shared images of the donation deliveries at evacuation centers.

The aid included food, clothing, and essential items, and the artists expressed their gratitude to the collaborators who made the support possible. This action was widely praised on social media, according to the same material.

Through their social media, they shared images of the delivery of donations at evacuation centers, where dozens of people were still staying who have not been able to return to their homes following the devastation caused by the weather event.

The aid included food, clothing, and essential items that reached these people thanks to the collaboration of three young individuals who were thanked by the singers. The images show children and adults receiving the supplies.
