The Venezuelan Verioska Parra lives with her two small daughters inside a car in the United States, after her husband—who was the family's sole provider—was deported to Venezuela by immigration authorities.

Through tears, the woman recounts that some friends offered her help in Orlando, Florida, but she later returned to Los Angeles, the city where they had lived since arriving in the country.

The woman claims that her life changed dramatically since her partner's deportation.

Without any income and with two children to support, she has had to sleep in her car while trying to gather money to cover food, fuel, and other basic expenses.

“I am the mother of two girls and I am in need. My husband was the only support I had in this country and, due to unforeseen circumstances, immigration took him and deported him. All I want is to buy my plane tickets to return to my country,” Parra wrote in a message seeking help on the GoFundMe platform.

The Venezuelan mother is seeking help to pay for rent, basic utilities, and immigration expenses that will allow her to regularize her status or return to her country through voluntary departure.

"Any help, no matter how small, will make a big difference in our lives," he stated.

The case of Verioska Parra reflects the increasing vulnerability of many migrant families in the United States, especially those that have been separated due to deportation policies.

Dozens of Latin Americans have turned to campaigns on GoFundMe to survive due to a lack of support networks and job opportunities.

While awaiting a solution, Parra continues to sleep with his daughters inside the vehicle and hopes to gather the necessary funds to either return to Venezuela or start anew elsewhere.
