The President of the United States, Donald Trump, revealed details about the military operation that culminated in the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, this Saturday in Caracas.

In an interview with FOX News, the president stated that his military is prepared for a second phase of the operation, with the effectiveness of the initial deployment.

We were prepared for a second wave. We were ready, and this was so lethal, so powerful, that we didn’t have to do it... We were there with an armada like no one had ever seen before,” Trump stated, referring to the level of strength and coordination of the U.S. troops.

The president highlighted that the operation was carried out with "surgical precision" by the elite unit Delta Force, supported by a military fleet positioned off the Venezuelan coast. According to Pentagon sources, the deployment included air, naval, and joint intelligence support.

Trump reiterated that the capture of Maduro represents "a strong message" against drug terrorism in the region and emphasized that the United States "will hold accountable those who threaten the security and freedom of the Western Hemisphere."
