The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated President Donald Trump with a message praising his “bold and historic leadership” and celebrating “the brilliant action” of his “brave soldiers” following the attack on Venezuela that took place early Saturday morning.

“Congratulations, President Donald Trump. For your bold and historic leadership in defense of freedom and justice. I applaud your steadfast determination and the brilliant actions of your brave soldiers,” the cited message notes.

Netanyahu's congratulatory message is set against a backdrop of international reactions following the events in Venezuela outlined in the same document.

The French president Emmanuel Macron celebrated what he called “the fall of the dictatorship” of Nicolás Maduro and called for a “democratic and respectful” transition led by Edmundo González Urrutia. He also stated that France would be “mobilized and vigilant” to ensure the safety of its citizens “in these times of uncertainty.”

Furthermore, the president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, stated that "Spain will not recognize an intervention" by the United States in Venezuela and urged that consideration be given to the civilian population, that the United Nations Charter be respected, and that "a fair and negotiated transition" be organized, according to the report.
