The Cuban Brayan “El Joker”, one of the most charismatic contestants from Rancho de Destino, surprised the audience by recounting how he was arrested in the United States and how he managed to avoid a seven-year prison sentence.

During a conversation on the show, he explained that it all started when the police stopped him while he was driving his car, in which he had a legally owned firearm. “I went out with friends and during the search, they found a small package of cocaine. It was a little bit, but it was in the car, and they charged me with possession of drugs and a firearm. That’s a second-degree felony,” he recounted.

The Joker stated that the officers also added another charge for "possession of other substances," which worsened his case. "That's when everything fell apart for me. My lawyer requested the police cameras, and it was revealed that what they thought was drugs were actually makeup powders I had in the car. They were asking for seven years in prison for those charges," he recalled.

According to what was said, the prosecution dropped the case upon discovering inconsistencies. “April 14 was my first court appearance, and when they saw the evidence, they dismissed it on the spot. If the police make a mistake, the entire case collapses."

The clip went viral on TikTok, where his followers flooded him with messages of support. "It's clear he's a good guy," "God protected you," some wrote, while others debated his version of events. Despite the controversy, Brayan maintains the good spirits that characterize him on the show: "The important thing is that the truth came to light."

At another point in the program, Brayan talked about his dreams if he wins the competition: buying a two-story house for his family and building wells in Africa. "I want to do this no matter what, if I have more money I will be able to do more and thus help in the villages where children have to walk for hours to get water," he confessed with emotion, making it clear that, beyond the past, his focus is on a better future.
