"After 4 years, I received that hug that reboots your life and heals your soul." With this phrase, the Cuban user @changmeyck described on TikTok the most anticipated moment of her life: reuniting with one of her loved ones after several years apart.

The video, filmed on a humble Cuban street, shows two women running towards each other before merging into a long embrace. Amid laughter, tears, and shouts of joy, the scene reflects a story that thousands of Cubans experience daily: the long wait to hug their family again.

The images, which have already surpassed thousands of views, were accompanied by the text: "4 years waiting for this moment," and quickly generated a wave of comments from users who resonated with the story.

In recent years, the economic and social crisis in Cuba has caused an unprecedented wave of migration. Thousands of families remain separated, with children, parents, and partners living in different countries. Reunions, like the one featured in this video, have become a symbol of emotional resilience and hope.

"Those hugs that heal everything," "only those of us who have been far away understand this feeling," or "every sacrifice is worth it for that moment" were some of the most repeated messages among users.

Beyond its viral nature, the video captures in seconds the weight of distance and the strength of familial love among Cubans both on and off the Island.
