The Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz stated that, in light of the "situation" facing the country, "Cuba does not stop, Cuba does not halt," and urged organizations and institutions to "strengthen their operations" with "controlled decisions" and "top-level monitoring."
The phrase was disseminated in an extraordinary session this Friday, where it is emphasized that the announced actions aim to “move forward.”
In the same message, Marrero stated that this concept must “take precedence” among those responsible and announced that starting this Friday, government authorities will appear in the media to provide the public with details of the measures adopted.
The Prime Minister's statements come within the framework of government directives aimed at addressing the fuel shortages that authorities attribute to a "energy blockade" by the United States.
In an extraordinary session broadcasted by state television, measures were announced to address the fuel shortage in electricity generation and transportation, as well as to expedite projects for photovoltaic solar parks and other renewable sources.
Actions aimed at prioritized sectors were also mentioned, such as local food production, water supply, transportation, and the assurance of basic health and education services.
In that same coverage, the ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel stated that “there will always be solutions to problems, no matter how complex the situation,” and emphasized the need for “systematic and precise” communication regarding the measures and their results.
The party leader Roberto Morales Ojeda mentioned actions for communication support from political and mass organizations, media, and institutions.
