A Cuban truck driver was on the verge of experiencing a tragedy while driving on an ice-covered road, as he recounted in a video that has gone viral on TikTok.
In the images shared by the user @el_chino_manumanu, the truck can be seen severely damaged after a desperate maneuver to avoid a more serious accident on a dangerous hill with no apparent way out.
"Going down the hill, this has no end there, and he told us not to go over there. We have to turn that way and get up against the curb, and look at what happened to the truck," explained the Cuban while showing the damage caused by the impact against the ice.
According to his testimony, the road was extremely slippery and lined with ravines, which forced him to crash the vehicle against the guardrail to avoid losing complete control.
"That messed up because he had to go against the ice. That ice is really strong. These are cliffs. I don't know how I'm going to fix that, what a nightmare," he added, visibly upset.
The images show the front of the deformed truck, with damage to the bumper, the body, and the area near one of the wheels, while snow and ice completely cover the asphalt.
The video has generated numerous reactions on social media, where many users have expressed relief that the driver emerged unharmed, while also raising awareness about the dangers of driving in extreme ice and snow conditions.
