The acting president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, received the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Christopher Wright, on Wednesday afternoon at the Miraflores Palace, as reported by the official account Miraflores at the moment on the social network X.

According to that publication, the purpose of the meeting was to review an energy agenda "beneficial for both nations," within the framework of Venezuela's energy sovereignty and the historical bilateral relations.

The same account shared images of the moment when Rodríguez received Wright in the presidential office.

For its part, the U.S. embassy in Venezuela stated on X that Secretary Wright visited the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, where he held discussions with interim authorities to advance the three-phase plan of President Donald Trump's administration: stabilization, recovery and reconciliation, and transition.

The U.S. message frames the meeting within the strategy announced by Washington for the political and economic process in Venezuela, while the official Venezuelan communication focused the encounter on the energy agenda and bilateral cooperation.

Chris Wright arrived in Venezuela hours earlier on a visit deemed strategic to advance the plans for revitalizing the oil industry of that Caribbean country under the vision of President Donald Trump.
