A Cuban woman has taken TikTok by storm by sharing a house tour of the home that, according to her, she built with her family after years of sacrifice and perseverance in Cuba.
"This is not just a house; it is the result of years of dreaming, sacrificing, and not giving up," the young woman said as she walked through every space of the property located in the south of the island.
In the video, which has gone viral on the platform, he shows the bathroom —which he referred to as "the controversial bathroom" due to the amount of comments and posts it generated on social media— the kitchen, the walk-in closet, and the master bedroom.
The creator explained that all the construction materials were acquired in Cuba. However, some appliances such as the stove, refrigerator, microwave, and sink were shipped from Tampa.
The kitchen cabinets, one of the elements that garnered the most attention from users, were custom-made and designed according to their specifications.
When they recorded the video, the bathroom was not yet fully completed. Shortly after, during their stay on the island, they managed to finish it. In the future, they plan to install glass in the bathtub, although they are waiting to find a company that can do the job with the quality they desire.
The house currently has only one room, although the family is already working on building a room for their daughters. “What we have in mind is crazy,” he remarked, hinting that it will be a space designed for the girls to play and grow up happy.
They also set up a small room to store luggage and belongings, a simple but functional space.
"This is not a perfect house, but it's ours," she stated. For her, beyond the finishes or the dimensions, the most important thing is having realized a family dream and being able to have her loved ones close by.
The video has generated numerous reactions, ranging from praise for the final result to debates about the real possibilities of building such a home in the current economic context of Cuba.
