Cuban reggaeton artist Mawell revealed how much he has earned from his music in just ten days during a recent interview with Cuban YouTuber Harvyn_tv.
While showing the screen of his mobile phone to the camera, the artist revealed his account balance, which showed earnings of $2,234 in just ten days, having previously received a payment in December.
"After collecting and withdrawing all the income for this month, only ten days have passed and there's already $2,200. And that's just my share; imagine all those people," she commented.
Mawell explained that the goal of showcasing his earnings is to send a message to young people aspiring to make their way in urban music.
"This is so that the kids know they always have to have their documents in order before getting involved, because afterwards they don't know what might happen. I got paid in December and now, at the beginning of January, in just ten days, look at what’s happened," he stated.
The interpreter also sent a message to those who criticize him and defended his position within the reparto genre.
"You see some people talking and criticizing, and they have nothing. I'm the best artist distributing right now," he added.
In recent years, Mawell has established himself as one of the most visible figures in the Cuban cast, a genre that continues to gain popularity both within and outside the Island.
