Cuba is preparing for the start of Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when at 12:00 AM the clocks across the entire country will be set forward by one hour.

The information was released by the Government of Havana, which noted that the change is in accordance with the current resolution regarding the adjustment of time zones in the country.

With the onset of daylight saving time, it will dawn approximately one hour later, while the afternoons will have more natural light, allowing for extended outdoor activities after the work or school day.

The authorities specified that this period will last until Sunday, November 1, 2026. On that day, at midnight, clocks will need to be set back one hour to return to standard time, also known as winter time.

The current winter schedule came into effect last November when the regime implemented the measure as part of its strategy to make better use of sunlight and a futile attempt to alleviate the blackouts affecting the country.
