The US dollar (USD) is trading on March 1, 2026, at 510 Cuban pesos (CUP) in the informal market, according to the daily monitoring by elTOQUE.

The US dollar remains the primary reference for buying and selling in Cuba, in a context marked by scarcity and sustained inflation. The demand for dollars remains high, driven by those who need to import goods, save against the devaluation of the peso, or emigrate.

The euro (EUR), for its part, reaches 570 CUP, consolidating itself as the foreign currency with the highest value in the parallel market. It maintains a gap over the dollar that is due to limited supply and the interest of those receiving remittances from Europe.

Meanwhile, the Free Convertible Currency (MLC) is exchanging today at 410 CUP. It has increased in value by five pesos compared to the previous day. It has a lower demand compared to the dollar and the euro, but it still plays an important role for purchases in the country.
