After several weeks marked by controversy and silence on social media, Verónica Giraldo, Karol G's older sister, made a comeback with a message that did not go unnoticed by her followers.
Through a story posted on Instagram, the sister of Bichota (who had deactivated her profile until now) shared an image of a landscape accompanied by a reflective text discussing the importance of taking a step back to heal and learn from mistakes. "Sometimes we need to distance ourselves for a while, sit down, breathe, and understand that not everything you say or speak is right", the message begins, in which she also mentions that mistakes can help improve, heal, and come back stronger.
The publication comes after the difficult moment she faced weeks ago, when Verónica made her personal struggles public and the legal conflict she is dealing with concerning her daughter's father.
In several videos published at that time, the sister of the Colombian singer claimed to feel betrayed by her own family, stating that some of her relatives were supporting the father of her daughter in the legal proceedings. She also went on to say that the image of the "ideal family" that many people see on social media does not reflect the reality she experienced.
Additionally, Giraldo made strong statements about his childhood, indicating that he grew up in a family environment marked by episodes of violence between his parents. According to his account, his father physically and emotionally abused his mother, experiences that—he explained—deeply affected his life and his approach to personal relationships.
The case generated a strong reaction on social media, especially after Verónica showed injuries on her hand and explained that she had inflicted them while trying to enter a home where her daughter was located.
Following the viral spread of those videos, her sister Jessica Giraldo, representative of Karol G, issued a statement requesting respect and empathy, assuring that the family is going through a "very sensitive and difficult" time and that their priority is the well-being of both Verónica and the child.
The new publication by Verónica coincides with the recent public appearance of Karol G at the Oscars after-party, where the Colombian singer was seen posing on the event's red carpet, while the family situation continues to generate comments on social media.
