The statements of a Cuban father who questioned the government amid power outages continue to generate reactions on social media, where many users agree that there are few things left to defend on the island.

The original message, shared by CiberCuba, featured a family cooking with firewood on the rooftop and included harsh criticisms aimed at Miguel Díaz-Canel and Manuel Marrero, questioning the disparities between the living conditions of the people and those in leadership.

Since that post, dozens of comments reflect a common sentiment among many Cubans: the lack of motivation to support the official narrative.

One of the most frequently asked questions among users is the phrase "defend what?", referring to the government's calls for resistance and defense of the country.

“Let those who have no problems defend it, those who have breakfast, lunch, and dinner assured, those who sleep with air conditioning,” commented a user, highlighting the gap between the reality of the people and the ruling elite.

"Many are cooking with firewood... a bag of charcoal costs 2,000 pesos and lasts less than 10 days," reported an internet user.

"More than 15 to 20 hours of daily blackouts... we can't take it anymore," another added.

The reactions reflect a widespread exhaustion in response to the economic crisis, prolonged power outages, and food shortages.

“We are many in the same situation and we can't take it anymore,” wrote one user.
“It's the sad reality of the Cuban people,” noted another.

Several users directly blamed the government for the country's situation and questioned the lack of response to everyday issues.

“They never thought about the people, they only used them to stay in power,” remarked a commentator.
Others noted that the State prioritizes repression instead of addressing social demands.
