A Cuban was captured on video while transporting his wife in a wheelchair in the rain to take her to a medical appointment, due to the lack of transportation and fuel on the island.

According to the man's own account in the video, published on Facebook by Yosvanis Linares Morales, the family was forced to travel the route on foot due to the inability to access gasoline or pay for alternative transportation.

"Look, my wife, my son, and I are here this morning taking my wife to an appointment, since there is no gasoline or money," said the man, who, without specifying where in Cuba this happened, indicated that the scene could easily repeat itself in any locality.

The images show the man pushing the wheelchair while his young son accompanies them, all barely protected by raincoats in the rain, in a scene that reflects the daily struggles faced by many Cuban families.

The protagonist himself summarized the situation with another phrase: "It's a situation underwater," as he pressed on amidst the bad weather and limitations.

The scene illustrates the collapse that Cuba is experiencing, where fuel shortages, lack of transportation, and the economic crisis compel the population to seek extreme solutions to access basic services such as healthcare.

This type of situation has become increasingly common in the country, in a context characterized by prolonged blackouts, shortages, and a sustained deterioration of living conditions, the result of decades of poor management by the regime.
