Teresa Padrón confirmed this Thursday that she ended her relationship with the Cuban reggaeton artist Yorshi, in a video published by the Instagram account La Familia Cubana.

The moment occurred while Teresa was visiting a medical center. The interviewer asked her if she was getting ready to look good "for her boyfriend," and Teresa replied straightforwardly: "Unfortunately, Yorshi and I are no longer together. I broke up."

The artistic representative explained that distance was the determining factor. "Distance is very difficult, and it's very hard to maintain a long-distance relationship," she said, although she clarified that the feelings remain intact: "I still care for him very much. We continue to work together, and I wish him all the best."

Doctor Maylin, a witness to the moment, quickly joined in with humor and tenderness: "I am here trying to comfort her because she is a little sad."

The relationship was confirmed on February 18, 2026, when she shared videos alongside the artist celebrating the release of a new song. The romance lasted less than two months and from the very beginning, it sparked intense debate on social media, mainly because many followers pointed out that Yorshi's voice immediately reminded them of the late El Taiger, with comments like "OMG, it's the same voice as Taiger" or "I thought it was José."

That emotional connection did not go unnoticed even with the breakup. A user summarized it in a single phrase filled with subtext: "She realized he wasn't El Taiger."

The reactions on Instagram were all kinds. Some followers questioned the argument of distance: "How quickly love faded, and the distance is just an excuse. She is American, she can claim it in months, plus she can travel to Cuba," wrote one person, who claimed to have been in a long-distance relationship for ten years without giving up. In the same vein, another asked: "What distance if she goes to Cuba all the time and is a citizen? Why didn't she marry him and bring him over?"

Others opted for humor. Someone joked that the romance "lasted as long as a meringue at the entrance of a school," while another offered their unfiltered analysis: "What happened is that he opened his eyes in time. She's meant for a man who is already established here. Those from the process are never the ones at the end."

Teresa Padrón is a well-known figure in the Cuban community of Miami, particularly due to her close relationship with El Taiger (José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar), the Cuban reggaeton artist who was attacked on October 3, 2024, in Hialeah and passed away a week later.

It was precisely in that emotional context that the romance with Yorshi Xley emerged, a Cuban reggaeton artist whose vocal similarity to El Taiger was the most talked-about element from day one. Now that the relationship has come to an end, the community is closely following Teresa's every move, who for now seems to be taking it with calm and a bit of humor. As she made clear in the video: she is moving on, although "a little sad."
