The Cuban Teresa Padrón, one of the most talked-about newcomers of the reality show El Rancho de Destino, announced her exit from the program just a few days after joining. Her decision, revealed in a video posted on the show's social media, surprised fans and sparked a wave of reactions both for and against.
“I prefer to pay the contractual penalty and break it,” Teresa said during a conversation with Destino Positivo, the creator of the project. She explained that her departure is due to both personal commitments and the increasing tension within the program. “In addition to being worried about my businesses, I'm also concerned about José's court... Vladimir joined too, and that was the last straw,” she expressed calmly.
Destino, without showing any anger, responded in a cordial tone: “I am not angry, especially if you are going to pay me the penalty for breaking the contract.” Teresa expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and emphasized that, despite the conflicts, she experienced “a beautiful experience” and met “good people,” although she admitted with a laugh that “I had a headache all day with so much shouting.”
On TikTok, the video of her farewell garnered thousands of views and comments. Many users celebrated her decision, calling her a “smart woman” and “brave for sticking to her principles.” “She lost money, but gained prestige,” wrote a follower. Others, however, questioned the format of the reality show and wondered whether participants have to pay to enter or leave the program.
