A Cuban boy known as Jay Milán has become the new viral sensation on social media with a video in which he sings and dances 'Hasta que se seque el Malecón', the anthem by Jacob Forever, amassing over four million views on Instagram in just a few days.
The reel was published last Monday by the account @i_am_jaymilan, whose real name is Aidany Carrasco Luzardo, and within a few hours, it became the most viewed content on his profile, with over 211,000 likes and nearly 6,300 comments just on Instagram.
In the video, Jay Milán appears wearing a backward cap, a thick gold chain, and a white t-shirt featuring a Toy Story print—complete with Woody and Buzz Lightyear—against what seems to be a DJ console with purple LED lights in the background. The scene exudes sheer audacity.
What captivates is not just the voice: it's the confidence, the attitude, and above all, the famous "little waist" that has become her trademark. In her Instagram biography, where she has amassed 120,000 followers and a verified account, Jay Milán introduces herself directly: "Artist. My phrase is the little waist."
It is not the first time that a Cuban child has taken the internet by storm with their talent. Cuba has produced a long list of viral little prodigies, from Emmanuel from Guantánamo to a little one from Camagüey, who have touched the hearts of thousands both on and off the island.
The song performed by Jay Milán was released by Jacob Forever in January 2016 as his first single and quickly became one of the most iconic tracks in Cuban reggaeton. By 2021, it had surpassed 77 million views on YouTube, a number that reflects the song's global reach.
Even Jacob Forever himself couldn't resist and left his reaction in the comments of the reel, where the boy had directly tagged the artist. "The little waist titiiiiii is goneeee".
