Tekashi 6ix9ine issued a direct provocation to the residents of Miami in a video posted this Wednesday on his Instagram Stories, where he called them "inflators" and questioned who has real money in the city.
In the clip, recorded in Spanish, the Dominican-Mexican rapper provocatively asks: "Who has money in Miami? Who? Who? You guys are inflating. You know? Renting cars. Paying car notes. Paying rent. Who has money?"
The term "inflators" is Miami Latino slang referring to people who pretend to have money and status without actually possessing them; they live by renting luxury cars, showing off on social media, and maintaining expensive appearances without any real financial backing.
The video was reposted by the account @un_martitodurako8_live_oficial, which included the comment: "AYOOO THE TITIII IS OUT".
The provocation comes just two weeks after 6ix9ine was released from prison on April 2, following three months of detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for violating his probation.
Since his release, the rapper has been very active on social media and has been involved in several public controversies.
The defiant tone of the video is striking, especially considering that 6ix9ine has been living in Miami for about a year and a half, a city where he purchased a mansion valued at over 12 million dollars in October 2024.
His connection to the Latino community in the city is strong: his girlfriend, the Cuban Aliday Alter, 29 years old, is six months pregnant with their first child, a pregnancy that the rapper himself confirmed on April 7 during a stream with content creators Adin Ross and N3on.
In that same broadcast, 6ix9ine stated about the pregnancy: "She got pregnant while I was in jail."
The rapper has also collaborated with Cuban reggaeton artists based in Miami, including Lenier Mesa and Bebeshito, with whom he released the song "Habla toro" in September 2025.
This is not the first time 6ix9ine has generated controversy in the city: in July 2025, he was expelled from a nightclub in Hialeah after a fight, although no charges were filed against him.
The baby expected alongside Aliday Alter would be the third child of the rapper, who already has two daughters from previous relationships.
