The Cuban singer Kevincito El 13 and his partner Chavelys celebrated the baptism of their son Kevin Jr. in an emotional Catholic religious ceremony where his colleague and friend Dany Ome took on the role of godfather, officially sealing one of the most special bonds within Cuban music.

It was Dany Ome himself who announced the moment on Instagram with a message that left no doubt about the excitement of the day: "Officially godparents, I love you @kevincitoel13, we baptized Minny 13".

The post quickly became a success on social media, accumulating over 51,000 views, nearly 8,500 likes, and dozens of comments from followers congratulating both artists on this new family chapter.

The images from the ceremony show the attendees dressed in white in front of a baptismal font, with a priest clad in a white chasuble and gold ornaments. The baby's mother, Cuban influencer Chavelys Diz, wore a fitted white dress and had blonde hair, while Dany Ome, with his distinctive tattoos on both arms, black plastic glasses, and a white shirt, joined the family at the altar alongside the baby's godmother.

Kevin Jr. was born on December 1, 2025, being the first child of Kevincito El 13. His arrival marked a profound moment for the artist, who expressed at that time: "May God grant me good health so that my son Kevin Jr. never lacks anything. I love you. Today, thanks to you, I discovered a new feeling."

The bond between Dany Ome and little Kevin Jr. predates his birth. In June 2025, Dany Ome took part in the gender reveal of Chavelys Diz's pregnancy, correctly betting that it would be a boy. Since the day of the delivery, he referred to the baby as his godson, so yesterday's baptism was just a formalization of what everyone already knew.

In Cuban culture, the godfather of baptism is not an honorary title: he is regarded as a second father, with lifelong spiritual, moral, and emotional responsibilities towards his godchild. The term "compadres" used by Dany Ome in his post perfectly reflects this bond: the parents and the godfather are united by a permanent familial connection that goes far beyond friendship.

And that friendship between Dany Ome and Kevincito El 13 is one of those rare stories in the entertainment world. Kevincito publicly revealed that Dany Ome saved his portion of the concert royalties during months of financial hardship, a loyalty that his fans have not forgotten. Together, they form one of the most successful duos in the Cuban urban genre in exile: they generated 1.2 million dollars on YouTube in a year, they performed in Spain in March 2026, and they announced two collaborations with Puerto Rican artist Ozuna this month.

The baptism of Kevincito's son on the 13th comes at a time of fulfillment for both artists, turning an already solid friendship into a familial bond that, as Cubans say, cannot be broken.
