A pregnant Cuban woman residing in the United States, known on TikTok as Kety (@ketileyviscollazo), posted a video on Wednesday in which she firmly replied to a user who questioned her for not using her social media to advocate for freedom for Cuba.

The video emerged in response to a follower named Maya, who urged her to use her platform for political activism in favor of the island.

"I'm going to respond to you in the best way possible because I'm pregnant and I'm feeling overwhelmed. Everyone defends and helps their family in their own way. I don't use my social media for content related to freedom for Cuba or politics; that's not my topic, that's not my content," Kety replied.

This is not the first time a Cuban content creator has faced this type of pressure; recently, another TikToker criticized the account La Familia Cubana in a similar context.

Additionally, a Cuban resident in Brazil erupted against the silence due to fear, demonstrating that the debate surrounding activism within the Cuban diaspora is still very relevant.
