Carlucho responded this Friday with an ironic and defiant tone to the statements made by Carlos Otero on Thursday in the podcast "Esto no es un Podcast," where he claimed that professional jealousy and all that story defined his relationship with the presenter.

Carlucho's response came in the form of a video posted on his social media with the message: Now I’ll reply when I arrive in Madrid.

"What a pride! Now I'll respond to you when I get to Madrid. I don’t remember when I asked this gentleman to work with him, but now I'm answering you. A kiss, my king," Carlucho wrote in a post on Instagram.

The rivalry between both presenters has a long and well-known history in the Hispanic entertainment world in Miami. Carlucho was fired from América Tevé on February 2, 2019 after more than 17 years with the network, an event that marked a turning point in the relationship between the two communicators.

At the time, Carlucho did not hide his displeasure and went on to say that the mistake was mine for bringing him, in direct reference to Carlos Otero, whom he had personally helped to carve out a path in American television.

However, Carlos Otero himself had publicly acknowledged in the past the role that Carlucho played in his career. "I owe him a lot, a lot, truly", he stated in an interview, which further complicates the nature of their relationship.

In Thursday's podcast, Otero described the relationship with Carlucho as just like that of a marriage, a metaphor that summarizes the ups and downs, the closeness, and the conflicts that have characterized their professional coexistence for years.

The media context in which this new chapter of their dispute unfolds is significant: Channel 41 permanently ceased its transmissions in May 2025, thus closing the venue where both presenters built much of their careers and where a significant part of their rivalry was born.
