This is how a Cuban police officer reacted after falling for an influencer's prank

Omam Castro, a contributor to Listillo Cubano, recorded with a hidden camera the reaction of a Cuban police officer falling for a street prank in Havana.

The regular contributor of Listillo Cubano, Omam Castro, approached an agent of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) pretending to need help with directions and recorded her reaction with a hidden camera integrated into glasses, in a reel posted on Facebook that gathered nearly 58,000 views.

In the video, Omam approaches the officer with a piece of paper in hand and asks her if she knows about directions in the area. "I have it here on a paper, it's very basic, do you know where I can find it?" he says, handing her a paper with a drawing of a sexual joke. When the officer reacts, he tells her, "it's just a little joke, my dear."

The clip was shared by Iván Valdés Permuy, (Cuban Trickster), a YouTuber specialized in hidden camera pranks and social experiments primarily recorded in the streets of Havana.

It’s not the first time that the duo has involved police in their content. Last March, Listillo Cubano shared a prank with a Cuban couple in Arizona about a supposed ex moving into the neighborhood, which garnered over 182,500 views in three days.

The channel's history includes a 2019 experiment where Iván pretended to be a police officer in Havana to capture the reactions of passersby, and a prank from September 2024 where he surprised Havana waiters with an unexpected twist regarding inflation.

Jokes about the PNR have become a viral subgenre among Cuban content creators, although there are real risks involved.

In December 2024, the influencer Hurón Verifica starred in a prank with a hidden camera in front of the train station in Havana that required police intervention, although the officers did not take formal action.

The most notorious case was that of the influencer El Chicleee in January 2025, who entered a PNR unit and told an officer an obscene phrase. The video went viral, but the influencer had to publicly apologize and his Instagram account became inaccessible shortly after.

In his apology, El Chicleee admitted: "it was a joke that got out of control" and added that "my content is not meant to go against any type of government or system here or anywhere in the world."

In Cuba, this type of content is especially sensitive due to state control over the media and the repression of independent creators. Unlike the case of El Chicleee, the joke made by Omam Castro at the expense of the PNR agent does not seem to have resulted in consequences for its creators, at least not so far.
