Ultrack made headlines again this Tuesday by posting a video on TikTok that captures the exact moment he was stopped by the police and fined 179 dollars for not adhering to a stop sign in Miami.
The clip starts with the Cuban influencer speaking directly to the camera from his car. Rather than complaining, his reaction was so casual that it ended up being the most talked-about part of the video.
"They fined me one hundred seventy-nine dollars. That's fine, they should have fined me more," he said without filter to his followers.
Ultrack explained that he usually stops at the crossings, but that day he was distracted: "I always stop, but you know, some days you're just in a bad mood. I slowed down a bit but didn't come to a full stop."
What he didn't see coming was that an officer was stationed behind him. As soon as he passed by without coming to a complete stop, the officer immediately followed him, asked for his identification, and issued a ticket.
But the most surprising part of the video came afterward: Ultrack not only accepted the sanction but also deemed it insufficient and made a direct appeal to the authorities in Miami.
"I should have put in a thousand; a thousand seems very little to me for the city of Miami," she said with complete conviction. "When there is a stop, you have to stop and learn where it hurts, where it hurts, in your wallet."
The content creator went further and reflected on the real consequences of running astop sign: "If someone comes and runs a stop, it can cause an accident and may cost a human life."
The video ended with a tribute to the officer who detained him and to the U.S. police in general: "I am always grateful to the police of this country because they do their job and are the ones who protect us. Thank you for your service."
It is worth noting that the fine of 179 dollars is consistent with the standard rate in Miami-Dade County for stop sign violations, which is around 175 dollars according to official records, in addition to three points on the driver's license.
The partner of Ultrack, the Cuban influencer Claudia Artiles, is recovering from surgery and did not publicly respond to the incident. Just one day earlier, Ultrack surprised Claudia for Mother's Day with a video that garnered thousands of views.
