La Melliza reappeared in her Instagram stories just three days after undergoing breast reduction surgery in Miami, and with her usual warm and humorous tone, she updated her followers on how her recovery is progressing.
The Cuban influencer, whose real name is Yainelis Ramírez, had surgery last Friday. The procedure involved removing her 500 cc saline implants —which she had for many years— and replacing them with 350 cc ones.
"I can't move my arms much because I've only been post-surgery for three days, just three little days as you can hear," La Melliza said at the beginning of the video, clarifying that the surgery "is quite delicate."
Regarding her previous implants, she explained that upon removal, they were in perfect condition: "Brand new, white, the water inside was not a problem. The only downside is that it was very big and very high." The change was remarkable: "I have such tiny breasts, gentlemen," she said with laughter.
It was her sister who recorded and published the video, as La Melliza cannot handle the phone freely nor lift her arms. "My sister is the one pressing the button for the stories... she does everything for me and takes care of me," she shared.
The makeshift caregiver also handles the meals, something La Melliza humorously described: "I’m going to gain who knows how many pounds because look, I've got breakfast, lunch, dinner... now she bought me gelatin." She concluded with a joke: "Girl, if I removed my breasts to look slimmer, how is it possible to eat that much food? But I have to eat because I'm taking antibiotics."
Despite the discomforts of the post-operative period, La Melliza ended the video with a reassuring message for her community: "So everyone knows that I am perfectly fine, I am doing well. This is a process."
This is not the first time her followers have seen her after the surgery. The first postoperative video of La Melliza was posted by her sister last Thursday, just 24 hours after the surgery, and the reaction was overwhelmingly positive.
The comments from her followers flooded social media with messages of support: “So glad for you, Melli! I'm really happy that you've taken this step and that you're recovering well,” and “You finally made the decision, Melli! I'm sure you look beautiful, wishing you a speedy recovery,” were among the most representative, with a dominant tone of “finally” suggesting that La Melliza had previously expressed her desire to undergo surgery.
