The Cuban singer Ja Rulay became a father this Friday and announced it to the world in the most tender way possible: an Instagram story with his hand holding the tiny hand of his newborn baby and a single word as text: "Dad."

The image, shared from the account @ja_rulay, captured an intimate and emotional moment: the adult hand of the artist, with dark skin, gently wrapping around the tiny fingers of his son, who was curled up in a white blanket with polka dots.

The atmosphere was clearly welcoming, which confirmed that Marell Infante, her partner, has already given birth in Spain.

In the background, he played the song "Gohan y Goku" by Arcángel and Austin, a musical choice that added even more warmth to that initial portrait of father and son.

The detail that touched her followers the most was precisely the simplicity of the message: just that word, "Dad," accompanied by the emoji of tearful eyes from emotion, with no further explanation needed.

The birth comes after months of shared anticipation on social media. On January 13, the couple announced the pregnancy through images of their baby shower, where the decor already featured the surname "Baby Álvarez."

On January 22, Ja Rulay and Marell revealed through blue smoke that they were expecting a boy, whom they described as "the most beautiful gift from God."

In March, the artist showed off Marell's advanced pregnancy on social media, and in mid-April traveled to Spain to support her during the final stretch, where he also celebrated her birthday.

On April 17, the couple shared an intimate black and white maternity photo session in which Ja Rulay was seen kneeling in front of Marell's belly, resting his head on her abdomen, dreaming of holding their baby in his arms.

That dream came true today.

The birth also holds a particularly deep significance for the artist. In November 2023, Ja Rulay experienced a miscarriage with his then-partner Chanty, a painful experience that affected both the singer and his close followers.

The arrival of little Álvarez makes this moment even more special: the overcoming of a wound and the beginning of a new chapter.

With this birth, Ja Rulay joins a list of Cuban urban artists who have experienced very emotional moments of fatherhood in 2026: Johayron, from the duo Charly & Johayron, became a father in February alongside his partner Dane Batista, and Velito El Bufón also welcomed his son Thiago that same month, making 2026 a very special year for Cuban urban music.

Congratulations to the parents!
