Velito El Bufón showed his more human and family-oriented side this past Saturday when he shared an emotional video on Instagram with his eldest son, distributing food to those in need in their neighborhood of Havana.

The clip opens with the singer speaking directly to the boy: "Daddy, it's noon, and I think we should do something nice, right? I'm going to teach you how to do something good, how to create a good deed for the day. And I want you to join me. Let's do it, daddy."

In the background, a song plays with a line that captures the reality surrounding the gesture: "How difficult my neighborhood has become, where the good struggle, where the bad get everything, where miracles are worth nothing at all."

The artist, who has more than 700,000 followers on Instagram, was clear about his intentions when he wrote in the video description: "Today I wanted to show my child that respecting and helping others whenever possible makes us better people and better human beings."

Velito also made it clear that he wasn't looking for the spotlight: "Just to be clear, I'm not sharing this to seek attention or promotion; thank God for my music, I have the attention of my entire audience. I'm recording this today so that more colleagues and more people will join in to help more Cubans, as this is becoming increasingly complicated for us every day."

The video garnered over 111,900 views, 31,621 likes, and 938 comments in just a few hours, and the artist himself responded to his followers with a phrase that received 311 likes: "Making it real and with love."

The reactions did not take long to arrive.

"How beautiful that is, and educating Velitico, thousands of blessings," wrote a user, while another commented: "A lovely gesture, may God continue to bless you and may you keep that beautiful humility."

Other followers were more direct: "All artists should do this," and another added: "What a good deed, my king, blessings to you and your child." Musician Zurdo MC also left his message: "Ashe and blessings."

The gesture comes in the context of a deep economic crisis in Cuba, where the official average salary is equivalent to about 14 dollars per month at the informal exchange rate, and it is estimated that 89% of the population was living in extreme poverty by the end of 2025.

This is not the singer's first act of solidarity: in December 2025, he had already surprised children in his neighborhood with Christmas gifts, in an action that also touched his followers.

More and more Cuban public figures are using their social media to showcase acts of solidarity and connect with their audience on a more human level, at a time when any gesture of help — no matter how small — has an amplified emotional impact both inside and outside the island.
